Obituary of R. Brunk

Rollis Gene Brunk R. Gene Brunk, 73, of Charlotte, NC passed away on December 11, 2012 at CMC ? Pineville. He was born on June 19, 1939 in Bloomfield, Iowa, to Fern and Tillman Dee Brunk. Mr. Brunk served in the USAF for five years. He retired from Piedmont Airlines/US Airways after 38 years. Gene dearly loved his family, children, grandchildren and dogs. He attended church at W242 for 10 years. Mr. Brunk is survived by his wife of 49½ years, Brenda Moore Brunk; son, Jeff Brunk and his wife, Pam, of Purcellville, VA and their daughter Kelly Brunk of Pineville, NC; granddaughter, Anna Lynn Brunk and grandson, Avery Brunk of Ashburn, VA. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 14, 2012 at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service Chapel, 1111 East Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28203 with Pastor Marc Dickmann officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 PM on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will be at 1:00 PM in Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston-Salem, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Warehouse 242, 2307 Wilkinson Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28208.
