Obituary of Carol Turner

Carol Lloyd Turner Carol Turner passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, in the Harris Hospice Unit at Presbyterian Hospital. Carol was born December 27, 1955, the only child of Robert M. Lloyd and the late Loretta Gould. She graduated from Myers Park High School in 1973 and started her family. Later in life Carol worked as a nursing assistant for several years. Carol and Fred loved to travel and enjoyed many happy times in the mountains and at the beach. In the last year, Carol?s constant companion was her beloved boxer-mix, Rosie. She is survived by her companion of 24 years, Fred Little; daughters, Shannon Weddington and Kelly Lomax and husband, Todd; son, Kendall Turner and wife, Mandy; father, Robert M. Lloyd; brother, Paul Gould and wife, Debra; eight grandchildren; two nephews; sister, Dena Whitaker and Mama Ruth Lloyd. A service to celebrate Carol?s life will be held at Noon Friday, December 14, 2012, in the Chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Presbyterian Hospice and Palliative Care, 324 North McDowell Street, Charlotte, NC 28204.
