Obituary of Susan Hoover

Susan Smith Hoover, 49, of Charlotte, NC died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 following a brief illness. Susan was born April 17, 1963 in Fayetteville, NC, daughter of the late Albert Hunter Smith and Vivian Ann Williams Smith. She graduated from Cape Fear High School in Fayetteville and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a pharmacy degree. Susan worked as a pharmacist for Stanley Labs for many years. In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Hunter Smith II. She is survived by a son, Matthew Burns Hoover of Charlotte; a brother, James H. Smith of Fayetteville, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:30 until 8:00 PM at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service in Charlotte, NC. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday at Judson Baptist Church, 505 Judson Church Road, Fayetteville, NC 28312 with Pastor Barry Byrd and Rev. Gerald Williams officiating.
