Obituary of Robert Lee Hunley

Robert Lee Hunley "Bob" Mr. Hunley, 89, of Charlotte, NC, went to be with the Lord on March 8, 2013. He was born on November 17, 1923 in Rockingham, NC, son of the late Carey Jones Hunley and Ollie Mae Swinnie Hunley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Mr. Hunley is surivived by his loving wife of 60 years Argene "Jean" Burris Hunley; two children, Sharon Hunley Nunn and her husband, Mark, of Summerville, SC and David Hunley of Huntersville, NC; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Hunley will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 12, 2013 in the Chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC with Rev. Bobby Morrow and Rev. Stan Heiser officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM in Poplin Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Albemarle, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:30 PM on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service.
