Obituary of Bruce Hodgson Stribling

Bruce Hodgson Stribling, Jr. Mr. Stribling, 87, of Charlotte died Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Southminster in Charlotte, NC. Bruce was born August 30, 1925, in Florence, SC, son of the late Bruce Hodgson Stribling, Sr. and Margaret Dillard Stribling. He served in the US Naval Air Force during WWII. Bruce graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and was a member of the NC Professional Engineers. Mr. Stribling worked with Southern Bell, B.O. Vannort Engineers and AT&T. Bruce was a charter member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and served on the Board of Deacons and was also a Sunday school teacher. Mr. Stribling is survived by his wife, Goldie Barron Stribling of Charlotte, NC; sons, Bruce Hodgson Stribling, III and wife, Caryl of Charlotte, NC and their son, Daniel and Paul Barron Stribling and wife, Kelly and their daughters, Lindsay and Sarah of Boise, ID and brother, Hal D. Stribling and wife, Mikell of Spartanburg, SC. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the nurses and staff of Southminster for their tireless dedicated service to Bruce and his family. A celebration of Bruce's life will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Trinity Presbyterian Church with the family receiving friends following the service.
