Obituary of Constance Crawford Wylie

Constance Crawford Wylie Constance ("Connie") Ann Crawford Wylie was born into eternal life on Friday March 15th. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio to William Feurt Crawford and Leta Fern Briner. Connie was educated at St. Augustine's Academy in Cleveland, and was graduated from the Ohio State University with a B.S. in nursing. She married Austin James ("Jim") Wylie, Jr. who preceded her in death in 2010. They resided in Columbus, Ohio and moved with their children to Charlotte North Carolina in 1968. She practiced nursing in several clinical settings and was head nurse of labor and delivery at Carolinas Medical Center for several years until her retirement from nursing. Later, Connie worked part time for Weight Watchers, and volunteered for the Board of Elections. She was an active member of the parish of St. Ann Catholic Church, and was a volunteer for several ministries including the fall festival and the block rosary. Connie took part in two church relief missions to Jamaica. She is survived by daughter Karen Donaldson of Monroe and Charlotte, daughter Kathy Auten, son-in-law Richard Auten, both of Chapel Hill, and grandchildren Nicholas, Kathryn, and Megan Auten, and Laura, Leigh, and Eric Donaldson. A rosary will be said at St. Ann Catholic Church at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 23, 2013 and a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at St. Luke Catholic Church in Mint Hill.
