Obituary of Tula Rallis Pappas

Tula Rallis Pappas (Venetia) Mrs. Pappas, 92 of Charlotte, NC passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013. She was born on March 10, 1921 in Charlotte to the late Chris and Marigo Rallis. She was a graduate of Central High School, a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral and the Ladies Philoptochos Society. In 1942 she married the love of her life, John Pappas to whom she was happily married until his death in 1992. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, George; sister, Barbara Economou; and brothers, Bill and Spero Rallis. Mrs. Pappas is survived by sons Chris Pappas and Harry Pappas and his wife, Carol; daughter, Patrice Pappas; sister, Ronnie Poulas; five grandchildren, John, Timmy, Jimmy, John Frank and Venetia Pappas; five great-grandchildren, Jordan, Zackary, Austin, Emma, and Alicia Pappas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Trisagion and Funeral service for Mrs. Pappas will be held 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Interment will follow the service in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Cathedral for one hour prior to the services. Memorials may be made to the Cathedral Foundation of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 600 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203.
