Obituary of James B. Lowery

James B. Lowery "J.B." Mr. Lowery, 82, of Charlotte, NC died on April 29, 2013 at Presbyterian Hospital. He was born on June 15, 1930 in Broad River, NC, son of the late Walter and Pearl M. Lowery. Mr. Lowery was veteran of the United Stated Army serving as a medic from 1948-1954. He was an avid golfer, loved his Sunday school class at Woodlawn Baptist Church and he really enjoyed meeting new people. Mr. Lowey was in the insurance business in Charlotte for over 50 years. He particularly enjoyed every time his family was able to be together. Mr. Lowery is survived by his wife, Bernice; sons, Joel Lowery and Michael McCraw; daughter, Bobbette Weaver; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Lowery; and a special niece. Funeral service will be at 12:00 noon on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 4622 Nations Crossing Rd., Charlotte, NC 28217. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to the service.
