Obituary of Antonio Eugene Thorpe

Antonio Eugene Thorpe "Tony" exemplified the word "Hero" all throughout his life. Those who knew him would often be drawn to his unique personality. Tony was always happy and outgoing and that is what so many people fell in love with. He was the eldest son of Wilfred and Teresa, born in Killeen, Texas on February 2, 1979. On May 7, 2013, he departed this life and was granted his heavenly wings. Tony grew up in Fayetteville, NC, where attended Westover Senior High and accumulated many friends along the way. He was a very gifted individual with many talents. He was adventurous, mystical, and had a great imagination. Some of his hobbies were: Reading, hiking, biking, drawing, martial arts, card play, video gaming, singing with a band, playing bass guitar, and traveling. Tony returned from Fayetteville after being certified as a personal trainer in hopes of starting his own business in Charlotte. He arrived with full steam, building his clientele and serving the community. He touched many people lives with his unique style of training, motivation, and energy. He was truly committed to the people he served. Tony was preceded in death by Grandfathers: William Henry Thorpe and Johnny James Washington. Tony leaves to cherish his memories, his Mother Teresa (Reginald) Ferrell; Father Wilfred (Angela) Thorpe, Brother Dameko (Brenda) Thorpe; Sister Teresa Fennell; Stepbrothers and sister: Reginald Ferrell, Jamal Ferrell, Abram Brooks, and Kara Brooks. Grandmothers: Julia Washington and Christine Thorpe. Cousins: Beverly Thorpe, Brian Thorpe, Marie Parker, Sade Mason, and his closest cousin, who was just like a brother, Mario Parker. His Best friend Albert Lovato and his girlfriend: Michelle Whittemore, who was with him in his last moments.
