Obituary of Ronald Clegg Hathcock

Mr. Hathcock, 70, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on June 2, 2013, the Lord's day, after a long illness. He was born on September 2, 1942 in Concord, NC, a son of the late John Clegg Hathcock and Helen Hudspeth Hathcock. Mr. Hathcock was very active in his church, Plaza Baptist serving as Deacon Chairman and Sunday school teacher. He was a craftsman in the printing industry as a Linotype Operator for Heritage Printers in Charlotte from 1971 until he retired in 2005. He is survived by his wife, Hazel A. Hathcock; his children, Cheryl H. Boger and her husband, Eddie, Darin Hathcock, and Alyson H. Lowe and her husband, Ryan; a brother, Barrie A. Hathcock and his wife, Lucy; 14 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. The family would like to acknowledge all of the physicians and nurses who helped Mr. Hathcock throughout the years. A funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 5, 2013 in the chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203, with Pastor David A. Gales officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery, Charlotte, NC. The family will receive friends Wednesday at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.
