Obituary of Sheila Kay Shadoan

Mrs. Shadoan, 63, of Charlotte died Monday, June 17, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center in Pineville, NC. Sheila was born March 2, 1950, in Somerset, KY, a daughter of the late Silas and Alpha Dalton New. In addition to her parents Mrs. Shadoan was preceded in death by three brothers, Bob, Paul and Bill New. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Mrs. Shadoan truly cared about others and put their needs ahead of hers. Sheila and her husband of forty two years, Harry, moved to Charlotte, NC in 2001. Surviving in addition to her husband are her sons, H. Brent Shadoan, Jr. and wife, Linda and Sean W. Shadoan all of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Holly A. Waskey and husband, Brent of Indian Trail, NC; grandchildren, Kaylan Shadoan and Benjamin and Caroline Waskey. Also surviving her are six sisters, Lois Cooper, Joyce Loveless, Mary Brotherton, JoAnn Shadoan, Elaine Gibson and Sue Walters. Funeral service for Mrs. Shadoan will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, June 23, 2013, in the Chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service with the Reverend Robbie Page of Sharon Baptist Church officiating.
