Obituary of Kenneth Arnold Cottman

Kenneth Arnold Cottman, 80, of Charlotte, North Carolina gained his wings on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. A native New Yorker born January 14, 1944 in Harlem, Kenneth was the son of the late Hazel Cottman and Edgar Boyd. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by former wives Ira Jane Johnson Cottman and Jeanine Mae Lyles Cottman.

Kenneth is survived by his children Kimberley Cottman,  Maisha Cottman, and Rasheed Cottman,  grandchildren Madison Davis, Drexel Cottman, and Harper Wright, and a host of family members and friends who loved him dearly. 

A man of many talents, Kenneth was an avid photographer, reader, chef, musician, carpenter, comedian and proud Marine. He was generous, energetic, and the essence of cool. 

The family will honor and celebrate Kenneth's life at a memorial service targeted for this coming Spring 2024.
