Obituary of Lambros Christos Nakos

Lambros Christos Nakos, 85, of Waxhaw NC, passed away December 2, 2023. Born October 11, 1938 in Vlasi, Greece, he is the son of the late Hariklia Rinis Nakos and Christos Konstantinos Nakos.
Lambros is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Helen Dimitrios Kaffes Nakos; his loving children; daughter Hariklia Darnell (Spouse) Marion Lee Darnell, son Christos Nakos (Spouse) Sharon Nakos, Grandchildren; Michael McWaters, Sara Franklin, Elaina Nakos, Ella Nakos and Noah Nakos. Siblings; Vicki Pistolis, Theofanis Nakos, Anastasios Nakos. A long list of nieces and nephews & many more loving extended family and friends.

Lambros's professional career was marked by his dedication to ethical practices and his unwavering commitment to serving others. He worked tirelessly to uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism, earning the admiration and trust of his colleagues and clients.

Beyond his professional accomplishments,  Lambros was deeply devoted to his family and community.  He was a loving and supportive husband to his wife, Helen, and a cherished father to his children,  Leah and Christos. He instilled in his children the same values of integrity, compassion and service that had guided his own life.

Lambros was also an active member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church,  volunteering his time and expertise.  He believed that everyone had a responsibility to make a difference in the lives of others, and he led by example, always willing to lend a hand.

Throughout his life, Lambros faced challenges with grace and resilience.  He never wavered in his commitment to his values, even in the face of adversity. His unwavering optimism and belief in the goodness of others inspired those around him.

Lambros's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He was a true pillar of strength, a beacon of integrity, and a source of steady compassion.  His legacy will live on in the lives of those he touched. Reminding us all, the power of living guided by principles and fueled by compassion.

The family will receive friends from 10:30am to 11:30 am on Tue, December 5th, 2023 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 600 East Boulevard,  Charlotte NC 28203 with a funeral service to follow.

A graveside service will take place at 11 A. M. on Thursday, December 7th, 2023, at Evergreen  Cemetery, 4426 Central Avenue, Charlotte NC, 28215

Immediately following the funeral service on Tuesday, the family would like to invite everyone to their home for a celebration of Lambros's life. 5017 Autumn Blossom Lane, Waxhaw NC 28173
