My thoughts are with the family. Jeff was truly an amazing person. I don’t think I ever saw him when he didn’t have a smile on his face.
I remember in the 9th grade talent show, he won and I came 2nd. The principal said we could pick up our prizes at the end of school day in the office. When we arrived about the same time, at the office, the principal wasn’t even there. Reception said we could wait. We waited and then had to have our parents come and pick us up without our prize. Jeff still had a smile on his face.

Jeff was one of the first people I met when arriving at UNC Teague dorm my freshman year. He took me under his wing and made sure I met people, felt welcomed and got me involved with EVERYTHING related to Intramural sports. I ended up working for the Intramural Department and made a career out of Sports and making sure everyone had an opportunity to play a variety of Sports and have FUN. Sports and having Fun and always Smiling and Helping people is how I will remember Jeff. We will miss him!

I met Jeff at Teague dorm during college and what I remember most is that he always had that grin on his face. I'm sure it was him bringing his good cheer to everyone, but I also suspect there were other times when he was up to something. I will miss seeing him at Teague events and even talking about CPA stuff. I hope that the family continues to tell Jeff stories, as I am sure us Teague guys will, as that is how you continue to keep those folks with you - through all the great memories he has left us with. Thoughts and prayers to the family.

So sorry for your loss and ours. Our paths merged at UNC beginning in 1980. For the next 4 years we shared several championships as team members in various sports at Teague. We were roommates in an apartment our senior year, often attending choir practice together on Thursday nights at Trolls. I am proud to have called him a friend. May God continue his blessings on your family.

My best memory with Jeff was playing basketball together at East Burke, hanging out at football games, and Maguire's Pub. Jeff was always there for everyone and knew how to bring out the best in you. A great friend who will be missed. Always Remembered, and Never Forgotten Brother.

I met Jeff when we were in the 8th grade. I saw him play basketball. When we were in high school, we became friends. We talked a lot and remained friends. The last time I saw him was in 2005. I got to meet his wife and children. He always wanted a family of his own. I will continue to pray for his family. The shock of losing Jeff is devasting to them.
May God be with and help you through this time and always.

There are few who can live their life without anyone ever thinking or saying anything negative about them. But that's the way Jeff lived and treated others. It is only fitting that his last attempt at generosity was to donate organs so that others could benefit. And he once told me that going to the Holy Lands with Carol was a "bucket list" item for him. The message is clear: he had his priorities in order! May Carol, Ellie, Logan, and Frank be able to take some comfort in that. Perhaps in the coming weeks the pain we feel in losing Jeff will be replaced in knowing what heaven has gained.
