Obituary of Charles Randolph Dickerson

Charles Randolph Dickerson Jr, 63, of Charlotte passed away June 12, 2023, after a valiant battle against pancreatic cancer. Born in Panama City FL, he was the son of Patricia Dickerson and the late Charles Dickerson Sr. He retired in 2022 as a Senior Vice President at Bank of America. Randy’s banking career began at an NCNB branch in Carrboro NC and spanned 37 years. He enjoyed: traveling, tennis, cooking, wine collecting, gardening and beekeeping at his lakeside retreat, tennis, music of widely different genres, skiing, big family events, reading the printed word, and tennis.

In addition to his father, Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Fred L. Wages and Mr. & Mrs. John R. Dickerson

Randy is survived by his partner of 38 years, Dr. Greg Parker; his mother, Patricia Dickerson; sisters, Pamela Mosley (Ricky) and Laura Agapion (Danny) and brothers, Michael Dickerson, and Brian Dickerson. Beloved nieces and nephews, Sara Britt (Jody), Emily Coggins (Mitchell), Gabrielle McKowen (Clay), Stephanie Parnell (Jared), Kimbre Archer (Kyle), Matthew Dickerson, Michael Dickerson, and Nicholas Agapion. Great nieces and nephews, Emma, Cora, Jackson, Kennedy, Birdie, and Miller.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm on Tuesday, June 27th, with a celebration of life service immediately afterwards in the chapel at Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28203.
