Stanley Perkins, age 84, of Charlotte, NC passed away, Monday, May 2, 2018.
He was born on July 9, 1933 in Carthage, NY to the late William and Florence Perkins.
He attended a one room school house until the 8th grade. He graduated from Carthage High School and Cornell University. He was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity and a member of the Dairy Cattle Judging Team in 1954. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Stanley managed fertilizer mills for Agway and Royster. He enjoyed many years of coaching and officiating youth sports.
Stanley married Marilyn Lake of Canastota, NY and together they enjoyed dancing, NASCAR, Carolina Panthers and many trips to Key West, Florida.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn. He is survived by his children Lorraine Perkins, William “Billy” Perkins, Allyson Kimbrell and Jeffrey Perkins; grandchildren Austyn Kimbrell and Cole Perkins. He is also survived by his sister Janice (Don) Smith and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Sharon Memorial Park, 5400 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212. The Family will receive friends from 11:30 am to 12:30 PM at Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203.
