Obituary of Janet A. Foley

Janet Adeline Foley, 91, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2018 in Tinton Falls, NJ. Janet was born on July 7, 1926 to Adeline B. and John J. Schneider in Congers, NY. She attended Congers High School and it was there that she met her future husband, William (Bill), whom she married in 1945 upon his return from service with the Army Air Force. Bill's employment took them to residency in several states, including New York, Virginia, Illinois, and New Jersey, before they settled and eventually retired in Charlotte, NC. Janet held positions in banking and worked as a payroll administrator for the Township of Middletown, NJ, before retiring in 1987. She and her husband were active parishioners of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Charlotte, NC. She had a strong sense of philanthropy and contributed generously to many charitable causes. Janet enjoyed the needle arts and her friends and family members treasure the gifts she lovingly made for them throughout the years. Janet was predeceased by her parents and by William, her husband of 58 years. She is survived by her sister, Nancy O. Keenan, three daughters, Paula (Breck Carrow), Patrice Knight and Pamela Patterson (Edward), seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
