Obituary of Nanette Rimmer

Nanette P. Rimmer Mrs. Rimmer, 56, of Charlotte, died May 11, 2009 at her residence after a twenty four year battle with Chronic Fatigue and Immune Dysfunction Syndrome. She was born September 26, 1952, in Canton, NC daughter of the late Edgar Paxton and Nellie Hyde Paxton of Canton, NC. Nanette graduated from Pisgah High School and attended Haywood Community College and Mars Hill College. She was employed with Interstate Johnson and Lane until she was forced to retire due to her illness. Nanette?s favorite hobbies were crafts of all types. In addition to her father Mrs. Rimmer was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Paxton. Surviving in addition to her mother, are her husband of 23 years David N. Rimmer of Charlotte, NC; son, Robert T. Sheppard; daughters, Kim Howington and Amy Sheppard; brother, Randy Paxton and his wife, Christie of Canton, NC; three grandchildren and her niece, Katie Paxton. Funeral service for Mrs. Rimmer will be held in the Dilworth Chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service on Friday, May 15, at 7:00 PM with the family receiving friends following the service until 8:30. In Canton, NC the funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 16 in the Wells Funeral Home Chapel with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home. Interment will follow in North Canton Community Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Paul R. Cheney for giving Nanette her extended quality of life.
