Obituary of Phyllis Williamson

Phyllis Kathryn Williamson Mrs. Williamson, 86, of Charlotte, NC died Thursday, August 6, 2009 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC. She was born March 27, 1923 in Byesville, OH, daughter of the late Arthur and Helen Dyer Robertson. Mrs. Williamson proudly served as a nurse in the US Army during WWII. She was a member of Sun Lakes United Methodist Church in Sun Lakes, AZ. Phyllis was devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy was caring for her family. In addition to her parents Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Craig Williamson. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Charles Williamson; son, Mark Alan Williamson; daughters, Cynthia Williamson Adams and Amy Williamson Dryer; sister, Idamae Vickers; grandchildren Jon and Brooke Adams, Jefferson and Jackson Dryer and Andrew Williamson and great-grandson Jack Adams. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, 5950 Fairview Rd. Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28210.
