Obituary of Mary Ann Howard

Mary Ann Howard, 77, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023 in her home, surrounded by all of her children. A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Mary Ann was born October 23, 1945 and was the daughter to the late James A. and Mary Elizabeth Sanders. She lived in Myrtle Beach for 14 years, where she was retired from a life in retail. She loved spending time with family and loved her fur babies; Max, Boo, and Blueberry.

Mary Ann is survived by her daughter, Lib Crouch & wife, Teresa of Chester, SC; daughter, Missy Suggs & husband, Joe of Monroe, NC; son, Michael Funderburk & wife, Renee of Myrtle Beach, SC; a brother, Jimmy Sanders & wife, Nancy of Waxhaw, NC; 7 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mary Ann is preceded in death by her loving husband, Wayne Howard; and a brother, Tony Sanders.

The family will receive family and friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on March 3, 2023 at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, located at 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203. A graveside service will immediately follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, located at 8901 Lawyers Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
