Obituary of Eugene Stancil Reynolds
Eugene Stancill “Stan” Reynolds, 64, beloved brother, uncle, and nephew, was born June 3, 1958 in Greensboro, NC and died February 10, 2023 in Concord, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene “Gene” S. Reynolds, Jr. and Dorothy “Jean” Fisher of Charlotte, NC.
Stan graduated from South Mecklenburg High School (1976), and achieved degrees in Electronics Engineering (1982) and Computer Engineering (1995) from Central Piedmont Community College. He worked for Computer Renaissance, the Public Library of Charlotte & Mecklenburg County, and Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, and the General Binding Corporation in Raleigh.
He was a resident of Universal Health Care, Concord for the last 5 years. He was avidly interested in electronics, sound systems and music. He was highly creative, and had a keen sense of humor. Everyone called him a gentle soul.
He is survived by his three sisters in California; Jane Marelich (San Francisco), Carol Reynolds (Sacramento), and Sondra Budwig (Los Angeles), his aunt, Mary Angela Price (Largo, Florida), nephews Tony Marelich, Noah Reynolds, and Jeff Nicastro, nieces Jacki Marelich Kardum, Chloe Reynolds, and Nichole Budwig Stone, and many great nephews and nieces.
He will be deeply missed by all the family and life-long, cherished friends he leaves behind. A mass and memorial service will be held at St. Vincent’s Catholic Church, in Charlotte, NC on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 1:15 pm. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, NC.
