Obituary of George Edward Beall

George Edward Beall, 76, of Matthews, NC, passed away August 21, 2022. Born in Norfolk, VA. Moved to Charlotte, NC at just a few months old. He was the son of the late Julian and Wilma Beall. He was a graduate of Myers Park H.S. and received a bachelor's degree from the Citadel in Charleston, SC.

George’s hobbies include gardening, deer, and wild boar hunting, also researching and collecting Civil War relics.

George is survived by his daughter Carolyn and her husband, Jeffrey Deel. Also, five grandchildren who all called him pawpaw, Wyatt, Gabrielle, Zane, Melody Deel and Ryland Beall, plus two great grandchildren Bastian and Aubrielle Helms.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his wife of fifty years Roseanne Beasley Beall and son David William Beall.

The family will receive friends from 10am to 11am on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28203 with funeral service at 11am with Rev. Suzanne Dornsmith officiating.

Interment will follow at Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
