Eleanor Grabowski

Obituary of Eleanor Rose Grabowski

On Saturday, July 16, Eleanor “Nora” Rose Gianna Grabowski went home to the arms of the Blessed Mother and the Holy Family.

Nora was born in Charlotte, North Carolina to Paul and Jessica Grabowski on March 26, 2018 and was baptized on May 13, 2018. While on this earth, she blessed everyone around her with her soft smile, her confident attitude, and her joyful and tenacious demeanor. She was the perfect combination of spitfire and princess. She adored her three brothers and was the best sister anyone could ask for. During dance class with her friends she would light up as she flittered across the floor. During swim team she would (with some convincing) brave the cold water and practice her big arm strokes and kicks like a champion. She was everything a little girl should be and she touched the lives of everyone she met. She had countless friends but the ones she loved the most were her family. Nora’s life was filled, not only with loving parents and brothers, but with aunts, uncles, and grandparents who were a constant and steady, joyful presence in her life. Nora looked up to her aunts and uncles who were always ready to spend time with her and listen to her stories. Her family’s life centered around the Eucharist, family prayer, meals, and homeschooling.

Nora was survived by her loving parents, Paul and Jessica Grabowski, her best friends and brothers, Benedict, Leo, and Patrick, maternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Anne Richárd (Nono and Noni), paternal grandparents, John and Claire Grabowski (Papa and Grandma), and her aunts and uncles: Christopher Richárd, Payton Richárd, Marcus and Cassie Richárd (with cousins Stella and Ena), Katelyn and Tomas Pardo, Sean Richárd, Michael Richárd, Anna Richárd, Rachel Grabowski, Rebekah and Andrew Marfo, Daniel and Reagan Grabowski (with cousin Joseph Campion), Abigail and Christian Obuchowski.

Funeral Arrangements: The wake will take place at Saint Ann's Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 20 from 7-8:30 pm. The funeral Mass will be a Votive Mass of the Holy Angels (Latin) and will take place at Saint Ann’s on Thursday, July 21 at 11 am. The burial will follow immediately afterwards. Nora will be buried near her infant brother, Maximilian, in the Belmont Abbey Cemetery.

Nora was the light of her family, was loved deeply by her parents and brothers, was a favorite among friends, and will be missed more than words can express.
