Obituary of Doris Louise Foster

Doris Louise Foster, 92, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away January 20, 2022. Born March 11, 1929, in Gastonia, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Fannie McGee Ramsey, and wife of the late Jimmy E. Foster. She retired as head floral-designer at Handford's Floral Supply and was a member at Calvary Baptist Church, Charlotte.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Regina "Gina" L. Foster; two sons, Douglas E. Foster and his wife, Kathy, and Mr. Jeffrey H. Foster; five grandchildren, Shannon, Bree and her husband, Greg, Katie, and Hannah; seven great-grandchildren, Cody and his fiancee, Emily, Aubrey, Lucas, Garrett, Westin, and Owen; two great-great-grandchildren, Autumn and Lauren; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, Charlotte, NC, 28203. Those desiring may make memorial contributions in Doris' name to Calvary Baptist Church, 2727 Mount Holly-Huntersville Road, Charlotte, NC 28214.
