Obituary of Polly Ann Hull

Polly Ann Hull, 92, of Charlotte, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, January 1, 2022. She was born April 18, 1929, in Mt. Airy, NC, to Elbert Lee Hull, Sr., and Mary Booker Hull.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Elbert Lee Hull, Jr.  She is survived by her sister Martha Lore Hull Ulmer of Statesville, NC; three nephews: Elbert Ernest (Ernie) Ulmer (Denise) of Statesville, NC; Edward Anderson Hull, II, (Mandy) of Raleigh, NC; and Dr. Phillip Gregory Ulmer of Tokyo, Japan; a niece, Ann Marie Hull Fagen (Tim) of Charlotte, NC; a great niece, Tara Ulmer Yale; and two great nephews: Clint Ulmer and Lee Ulmer; and dear friends: Ethel Harris, Margaret Falls, and Nina Phillips. Polly graduated from Gardner Webb College and worked at Continental Insurance Company her entire career. She was a faithful member of St. John’s Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC, where she had many close and faithful friends. Polly loved traveling the US and several foreign countries, including the Holy Lands.  She was a sports enthusiast and a huge fan of the L.A. Dodgers.    She was a loyal and caring daughter, sister, aunt, and great aunt to her family and a cherished friend to many.   A service to celebrate her life will be held Sunday January 9th at 1:30 at St. John’s Baptist Church, Charlotte, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John’s Baptist Church, 300 Hawthorne Lane, Charlotte, NC 28204.
