Obituary of Russell Eugene Ball

Russell Eugene Ball, 84, of Charlotte, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021. Born Monday, November 8, 1937 in Nicolson, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Raymond Harmon Ball and Celina White Ball. Russell is survived by his daughter, Tina Marie Ball-Sacchi and her husband, Luca, of New York; son, Russell Ball, Jr. of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren: Gloria Catherine Ball and Marco Sacchi; sister: Carol Hillard; and many more loving family and friends. In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Rita Calasso Ball. The family will receive friends at 5:00 p.m. with a small service at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 2, at Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 3, at Sunset Memory Gardens, Mint Hill, NC.
