Obituary of Joseph Ashley Hilton

Joseph Ashley "Joe" Hilton, Sr. 85, of Denver, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021. Born March 26, 1936 in Charlotte, he was the son of the late David Lee Hilton and Mabel "Toni" Ashley Hilton. Joe served as a Sales Representative with Biggers Bothers (now US Food Service) for over 4 decades and was co-owner with his wife, Sandy, of Hilton Corporate Condos for 25 years. He was a life-long NASCAR fan, enjoyed boating and spending time with his family and friends.

Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Sandra Bumgarner "Sandy" Hilton; sons: Joseph Hilton, Jr. and his wife, Janis, and Timothy George Hilton; grandchildren: Benjamin Hilton and Trevor Slaven and his wife, Aubree, and Josh Slaven; great grandchildren: Penelope and John Shaw; brother, Jerry Gene Hilton and his wife, Glenda; and many more loving family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his siblings: Harold Lee Hilton and his wife, Peggy, Alice Patricia Hilton Marlowe and her husband, Bruce, and David Lee Hilton, III.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 1, at Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte.
