Obituary of Emma June Joy

Emma June Joy, 94, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021. Born Saturday, January 15, 1927, in Charlotte, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late James Addison Joy and Emma Christine Love Joy. Emma graduated high school and went on to begin her career with the Railroad Company and furthered her career with the mortgage companies excelling as an administrator and director of foreclosures. In addition, Emma worked part-time the DMV for several years. She was an active member of Starmount Church for many years. A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. with a service to begin at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 20, at Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service. Interment will be private.
