Claude E. Perrine, III, 79, of Charlotte, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021. Born Thursday, April 16, 1942 in Gaffney, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Claude, Jr. and Elizabeth Sentell Perrine. Claude served his country in the U.S. Army where he met the love of his life while stationed in France, who he cared for until his passing. He was an amazing father and a loving husband, that put his family's needs first. Claude was an honored war hero, who proudly served his country and lived by a strong moral character. Those same excellent ethics contributed to him being a successful business owner with numerous loyal clients. Claude enjoyed spending time with his family, motorcycles, many long trips to Sturgis with his wife, camping, hiking, cars and running.
Claude is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Claude M. Perrine; daughter, Caroline Perrine-Jackson; sister, Amy Gail Riley; nieces and nefew, Susan, Donna and Danny; Cousins: Rob, Kathy and Rick Perrine, Catrina Solomon, Gregory Peery and many more loving family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Claude was preceded in death by his daughter, Nathalie Perrine.
A celebration of both Claude and Nathalie's life service will be held at 3:00PM Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Boulevard, Charlotte, 28203. Internment for Claude will be held at a later date at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Black Mountain.
