Obituary of Dustin Welch

Kenneth Dustin Welch, 41, of Charlotte, passed away Friday, August 6, 2021. Born Monday, April 14, 1980 in Griffin, Georgia, he was the son of James Kenneth "Ken" and Linda Catherine Hurt Welch. Dustin and his family moved to Monroe, NC in 1990 where he later attended Monroe High School. Whether it was camping, fishing, boating or just being with friends, Dustin was in his element outdoors. He enjoyed watching his son play baseball, basketball, and always tried to make it to his games and tournaments. His son was the center of his universe.

In addition to his parents, Dustin is survived by the center of his universe and light of his life, his son, Miles; brother, Brandon Welch and his wife, Andi; nephew, Tyler, niece Jasmine; Big brother Robert Tyson, and many more loving family and friends.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. with a celebration of Dustin's life to be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service in Charlotte, NC.
