Memories of Ron…where do I start as I have so many and all of them make me laugh hysterically. Most of my memories are from 10-20 years ago, but I remember many like it was yesterday. 1. Patchwork leather coat while riding a Suzuki motorcycle drinking coffee and smoking a cigarette riding down Paint Creek. All at the same time nonetheless. 2. Ron dumping sugar and creamer in his coffee and saying, “I like my coffee like I like my women…tan and sweet” 3. On his way to work he rescued a driver from a wrecked car as she overturned in the creek. He wouldn’t admit it, but he saved her life. 4. He legitimately saved my life at work…..it’s a long story but I was nearly struck by a tree but Ron shoved me to safety as he dove to safety. 100% true story and incredible. 5. Ron driving an old muddy road to work instead of the paved highway because it was “quicker”. I can go on for hours, but Ron is a good man and father. He loved and spoke often of his kids. He longed to “move back to NC”. I’m glad he had the chance. Such a tragedy he is gone too soon.
