Obituary of Jeffrey Shannon Panos

Jeffrey Shannon Panos, 53, of Mocksville, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, July 18, 2021. Born Friday, December 1, 1967 in Charlotte, North Carolina, he was the son of Kathy Beckett Knight and the late Harry George "Gus" Panos. To know Jeff, was to know laughter, music, dance, and comedy. He had many innate talents: he could hear music once and play it on the guitar or piano effortlessly, and somehow he was always able to inject the perfectly placed one-liner that had you blushing, laughing, or leaving the room. Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Tamara Michelle Panos; his mother, Kathy and her husband, Jim; sisters, Joni Tsumas and her husband, Alan, and Lainie Panos; children, Kendall and Brandon Morrison; step-children: Morgan and Zack; mother in law, Kathy Gantzer; and many more loving cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends. In addition to his father, Jeff was preceded in death and met at the gates by his YiaYia, Granny, Uncle Nicky, Aunt Patty, Uncle Jimmy, Stephanie, Aunt Cheryl and his faithful companion and sidekick, Tate. The family will receive friends at 12:00 Noon with a celebration of life to be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2021 in the chapel of Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service.
