Mrs Hunley and family, I was so sad to see David's obituary. I am Cheryl Love and I worked with Dr. Petty for many years. While you will not remember me, I certainly remember you bringing David to our office for his post op visits. I was a young mother at the time, and you made quite an impact on me! I saw in you a strong woman of faith, as you dealt with issues related to your son's traumatic brain injury. I know you and your family lovingly cared for David for many years and I'm very sorry for your loss. I will keep you in my prayers now and in the weeks ahead.

David was an attendee at our church and very active In the Sunday school class that came from Hunter Village. David was always wanting to share the love of Christ with others.Christ Community Church and the members there close to David will miss him greatly. So many times David would ask us the teachers if we needed help teaching the class that day. David was given the opportunity to do so and did a great job with the lesson that day. I had the opportunity to meet David’s mom and dad and saw the love that they had for their son. It has been a privilege and honor to have had someone like David in our church and lives that worshiped Christ the way he did. David will TRULY be missed. Thank God that he is at home with the Father. Cameron Vannoy and Cathy Calhoun, small group teachers at CCC Huntersville.
