Obituary of Charlotte Annette Parris House

Charlotte Annette Parris House, 71, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020. Born Tuesday, May 10, 1949, in Charlotte, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Lee Roy and Hazel Watson Parris. Charlotte graduated from Gardner-Webb University in 1988 with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. She made her career in law enforcement, retiring as a Police Sergeant on December 31, 1994, and served in the U.S. Army Reserves as a Sergeant 1st Class for 10 years. Charlotte was a devoted follower of Christ and was extremely creative and enjoyed art, making jewelry, and sky-diving. Charlotte loved animals, especially her greyhounds, and was an animal activist and fought against animal cruelty.

Charlotte is survived by her loving husband, Roy Wilson House, Jr.; children: Christine "Lee" Baker Hargett and her husband, Tod, Michael Baker, Teresa Marie House and her husband, William "Andy" Rycroft, Robin Christine Croker Poole and her husband, Rupert; grandchildren: Price, Jackson, Garet, Aaron, Sophie and Isabella; brother, Jack Parris and his wife, Peggy; and many more loving family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 16, 2020, at Forest Lawn West Cemetery, Charlotte, NC.
