Obituary of Ruth Landis

Ruth Landis passed away on October 7, 2020, at the age of 91. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey, and her brother, Arthur. She is survived by her son, Richard, and daughter-in-law, Sandra, as well as her daughter, Caren, and her partner, Becky. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Daniel and Lisa.

Ruth resided in New City, until recently when she moved to North Carolina. She loved her new life and made many new friends. She graduated from NYU when it was uncommon for women to attend college and had an outstanding career as a social worker in Rockland County.

Funeral Services will be private due to the current situation. However, Ruth's family plan to have a service at her unveiling next year.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ruth's memory may be made to one of her favorite charities - St. Jude's, Technion and Hadassah.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hellman Memorial Chapels, 15 State Street, Spring Valley, NY.
