Obituary of Patricia Partee Taylor

Mrs. Patricia Partee Taylor, 87, of Charlotte died Sunday July 26, 2020 at her home.

Funeral Service will be 12:00 pm, Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Hickory Grove United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Phyllis Coates officiating.  Visitation will be Wednesday evening, July 29, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hankins and Whittington Funeral Home, 1111 East Boulevard, Charlotte, North Carolina 28203.

Mrs. Taylor was born in Rowan County to the late Rufus Partee and Elizabeth Partee.

She was a long-time member of Hickory Grove United Methodist Church. She attended Harding high school.

She worked with Mecklenburg County elections as a judge for many years.

She was employed at Sears and Roebuck, Jack’s Cookies and worked at the Merchandise Mart.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Howard Taylor.

Survivors include sons Sheldon H. Taylor and wife Denise of Salisbury, NC, and Daryl W. Taylor and his wife Lolita of Franklinton, NC; two granddaughters Christie Taylor of Fayetteville, NC and Raquel Scharkopf and her husband Kyle of Charlotte, NC; grandson Rafael Taylor of Charlotte, NC and four great grandchildren, Austin of Salisbury, NC, Zachary Taylor of Fayetteville, NC, Briana Scharkopf of Charlotte, NC  and KC Scharkopf of South Dakota.
