So sad.
What a wonderful lady.
I had the good fortune of growing up in the house across the street from the Taylor’s
I’m the same age as Daryl and two years younger than
Sheldon, so I grew up with her as my 2nd mom.
The two things that she taught me was patience and tolerance
Her home was always open and so, the Taylor house was always full of boys......boys that were full of energy and mischief
We quickly learned her standards and being a good Methodist, they were much much much higher than a young boy wanted to live by ........but we adapted.
No matter what crazy stuff I talked Daryl into, she still allowed me back into her home.
I will always be grateful for that.
My heart aches for Daryl and Sheldon and the other members of her family and all her friends.

Pat was best friends with my mother Margaret Duncan that began in the 70's. They enjoyed many lunches and cups of coffee together. Many times I joined them. Pat was a good listener, had a terrific smile, loved to laugh and loved her family. She was compassionate and wise. Pat lived her faith daily. I'm so thankful my mom had such a special lady in her life.

Bob and I were saddened to hear of Pat’s passing. Years ago when we lived in Grove Park near Pat and Howard we were close friends. We played bridge, went to basketball games, and church together. After we moved to Lake Norman over the years we lost touch, but never forgot them and our friendship when our children were young. Our hearts go out to Sheldon and Daryl and their families in the loss of your Mom. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
In sincere sympathy,
Bob and Phyllis Deaton
