I first met Trix when we both lived in Toronto in 1972.
Little did I know then that we would develop a wonderful warm and loving friendship and a unique bond that would last for the next 48 years.
She was kind and caring. One can tell a great deal about a human’s character by the way they treat animals and for their love of all things bright and beautiful as the saying goes. If Trix is any measure of that, then she was tops. She had a strong love of nature and all animals but especially her dogs. There were many through the years. They were always rescue dogs and wow; did they land in clover. They could not have had better lives.
She had a great sense of humor which helped her keep that balanced perspective of life. I will miss that quirky, off the wall British sense of humor that only we Brits can truly appreciate. We had so much laughter about the silliest things.
She was at peace most when she was reading, listening to classical music, or just simply looking at flowers or watching the birds coming to the feeder that she had put out on her balcony.
She was strong willed and at times stubborn. I say this lovingly because these traits got her through so much in life. It got her through WW II, post war poverty in England, migration and start of a new life in Canada and the walk on her final journey in life. The journey is one that we all must take alone. She faced her journey with strength and dignity.
Rest in peace dear Trix. I will miss you.
Gerry

I first met Trix three years ago through Maha. She was very kind and funny. While she was soft spoken I could tell she had spunk and I was able to get her to share a few stories from her youth which confirmed that she had led an amazing life full of love and wonder. Just being in her presence was inspiring.

I will miss you so much. You were so kind to me and you cared for me like a mother. Thank you for all you have done for me. You helped me get a job and latter retired so I could have your job. You took me to the doctor when I was sick and paid for the visits when I couldn't. I cherish our Thanksgivings and English themed Christmas night dinners. I wish I could repay you for all you have done for me. I love you and miss you. I hope to see you when my time comes. Eternal Rest Grant unto her O Lord and may light pwrputal shine upon her. Rest in peace faithful soul. Tell Beauty and Rex to behave.

Ms Trix was a very Special Lady to me. I've known her for many years at the College. She always had those same mannerisms and was loved by so many people. She was not only just a Colleague, but a Dear, Loyal Friend and Mother to me.
I will definitely miss her Gracefulness, her Love, Compassion, Humor, Intellect, and her Sweet Spirit. To me, Ms Trixy, she Embodied All of Galatians 5: 22-23, The Fruit of the Spirit!
Rest on my Dear Friend until we meet Again! It was My Pleasure in knowing You!!
I send my Love and Prayers To her Family and Friends.
