Obituary of Marlis Welsh

Marie Luise "Marlis" Osmers Welsh, of Charlotte, NC. Marlis was born in Germany on May 7, 1926, and passed away peacefully on Friday, April 24, 2020 at the at age of 93, in the presence of her loving husband of 73 years, Bob Welsh. Blessings to her in all her glory

A lifetime of living a glorious story

Marlis is now with legions of angels

Emitting love down to friends and neighbors

 

The wheels of time finally at rest

For Marlis in her final quest

Finds glory to be with long lost ones above

After a lifetime of feats, of honor, of love

 

In spite of a youth in her bellicose land

She gathered dignity with a classical hand

Morally always on the highest plane

She set an example for us to follow, sustain

 

Violinist in Chapel Hill's symphony orchestra

Her idol Beethoven received her hallelujah

Designing and building our permanent home

It received some honors on the Mint Tour of Homes

 

A sportsman indeed in golf and skiing

Winning honors and a champion at the Grand Marquis

Indulging in Real Estate for Percival and Ryder

She sold commercial and homes for many a buyer

 

As Mrs. SS United States on a trip to Germany

She proved she certainly was some beauty

So with all this beauty brains and talent

She was my darling for 73 years well spent

 

I just can't believe what a glorious life

For me to have such a wonderful wife
