Obituary of Karisa Anne Hilley

Karisa Anne Hilley of Charlotte, North Carolina, died Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 10:59 PM, at the too early age of 33. She went into a diabetic seizure that rapidly led to cardiac arrest. She was born on January 13, 1987 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Andrea Pilley and Roy Hilley.

Education & life

Karisa dropped out of school at 15 years old in the 9th grade, but she didn’t let that stand in her way. She came back to it later and got her GED. She lived life like a shooting star, bright, shining and so full of energy and life that you didn’t just meet her, you experienced her. She was, in a world where everyone is “special”, actually special.

Relationships

Karisa is survived by many who loved her deeply. Her mother, Andrea Paxton, her father, Steve Hilley, her stepfather, Michael Paxton, her sister, Chelsea Paxton, her brothers, Ronnie Hilley, Blake Hilley, Matt Hilley, Patrick Hilley, and her sister Ashley Hilley, not to mention Maw Maw Margie, and Helen, and tons of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Service

A receiving service followed by a celebration of her life will be held at Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at Hankins & Whittington, located at 1111 East Blvd, Charlotte, North Carolina. She will be cremated and her ashes returned into the loving, grieving hands of her mother after the service.
