Freddie McDuffie

Obituary of Freddie McDuffie

Therefore, I urge you to imitate me. For this reason, I have sent you Timothy, My Son whom I love, who is faithful in the Lord.  He will remind you of my way of life in Christ Jesus, which agrees with what I teach everywhere in every Church.  Some of you have become arrogant, as if I were not coming to you.

                                                          Corinthians 4:16, 17, 18

On Tuesday, October 22. 2019, so softly, so gently, so peacefully, the Lord in his wise providence called his son home; our father, our brother and grandfather home to eternal rest.  Freddie Frazier McDuffie was born February 27, 1951 in Dillon, South Carolina to Mr. Sam McDuffie and Mrs. Pearl McLaughlin McDuffie.  He was the eighth child of his eleven siblings.

He attended Franklin K. Freddie was a member of New Bethel Church of God in Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings; John McDuffie of Brooklyn, NY, Luther McDuffie of Brooklyn, NY, Alexander Lee McDuffie, William B. (B-boy) McDuffie, Honey Mae Wilkins (Betty), Nora McDuffie of Brooklyn, NY, and brother in law Georgery Graham of Brooklyn, NY.

He is survived by his siblings: Sammy McDuffie of Brooklyn, NY, Liz Bland of Georgia, James McDuffie (Jimmy) of Brooklyn, NY, Needy McDuffie (Cornelius) of Brooklyn, NY; Mother-in-law Rose Graham; brothers-in-laws, Dawayne Graham, Iking Graham, Ralph Graham; sister-in-laws Jeanette Graham, Tawanda Graham, Barbara Spencer of Brooklyn, NY and Ida Lee McDuffie.  Freddie loved all of his 6 grandchildren, Shanell McDuffie, Travon Brown, Jamiyah Eades, Tyson Garland, Navah McDuffie.  Freddie especially enjoyed Demetris Jones, Jr. whom he bonded with since birth and his one great grandchild Kamora Corenejo.  Freddie’s god-daughter, Sharabia Graham, was a huge blessing in his life.  He has a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
