The Heart of Man In Memory of Reverend James Ballard 1934-2019 We lost today a great man Who loved and served our God He left behind earth’s feet of clay To walk on holy sod He warned of suppositions For hearts that never knew The suffering of others Till they’d walked within their shoes Until their shoulders felt the weight Of what others lives must carry To judge without discernment One must always be quite wary For God loves the heart of all Of those that call on Christ To light the path before them And lift their load of strife He saves each soul that seeks him Of that we can be sure For through grace and faith in Jesus Every soul is cleansed and pure So, we celebrate his journey For he leaves but one request That we spread the good news forward That we all may do God’s best To heal this world of suffering That they know God has a plan With a promise that is certain To make whole the heart of man

I worked with Dr. Ballard for 20 years. He was the most kind, godly man I have ever known. His gentle nature healed the hearts of many. He was loved dearly by me and many others. I look forward to seeing him in heaven. May God help heal the loss for all the family members.

Dr. Ballard was such an inspiration to David & me. The love he showed to us could not be measured. He was never too busy to stop & chat no matter where he was. I remember talking to him after David's Alzheimer's diagnosis. He reminded me God was still in control. God would walk every step of the journey with us. He was so right. When I heard Dr. Ballard had received his diagnosis my heart was broken for the family. Mrs. Ballard you were so faithful to him. I know you have gone through a lot but your testimony speaks of your love for him & for your Savior. May God give you time to heal & get much needed rest. The Holy Spirit will be there to give you comfort & peace. Soon and very soon Our Precious Jesus will come to take us to heaven & David & Dr. Ballard will be there rejoicing before the throne.
