Obituary of Paul Sean McClain
Paul "Stimpy" Sean McClain of Charlotte, NC, age 58, passed peacefully in his sleep, to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, November 23, 2018. Paul was born March 9, 1960 in Baltimore, Maryland to William and Mary-Jo McClain. He attended South Mecklenburg High School, followed by Central Piedmont Community College, where he became a Certified ASE Mechanic. He also became a Certified North Carolina State Inspector. Paul was an expert in the Automotive Field, and has acquired numerous certifications. He worked in the industry for more that forty years, and created lifelong relationships with his customers and co-workers.
Paul was a devoted husband and father who loved spending quality time with his family and friends. He loved his dogs-Lady and Pixie. He was a social butterfly. The man has never met a stranger! He enjoyed weekends at the drag strip, and rebuilding cars/motorcycles in his spare time. Paul loved to ride his Harley and lived the biker lifestyle. He was proud of his Irish heritage. Paul also had an amazing ability to reach people in a profound and positive way. He believed deeply in his Spiritual Faith; it was constant and unwavering. God was with him every step of his life's journey. Paul will be forever missed by the people that he left behind.
Paul is survived by his two Daughters, Michaela McClain, and Shawna McClain and boyfriend Justin Davis; Brother, Terrence McClain and wife Mary Ellen McClain; Nieces, Julie O'Malley and husband Jimmy O'Malley, Kristine Kingston and husband Thomas Kingston, Melissa Dean and husband Patrick Dean, Kelley Goehrung and husband Scott Goehrung; Brothers In Law, Gary Ljungquist, and Stone McKinney and wife Michelle McKinney.
He is predeceased by his Parents and his Brother, Billy McClain.
Viewing will be from 6:30pm-8:00pm Friday, November 30, 2018 at Hankins and Whittington Funeral Home, 1111 East Boulevard, Charlotte, North Carolina.
Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 am, Saturday, December 1, 2018 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 6828 Old Reid Road, Charlotte, North Carolina. Reception to follow.
