Obituary of James David Reames, Sr.

James David Reames, Sr., age 85, of Charlotte, NC passed away peacefully from a long illness on September 19. 2018 at Sherrills Ford Hospice House surrounded by his family.  He was born June 27, 1933 in Charlotte, NC to the late Eddie and Maude Reames.

 

Following his service in the Army during the Korean War, Dave retired as terminal manager for Texaco Oil at Paw Creek after 33 years of service.  He was a life long member of Paw Creek Presbyterian Church.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Linda;  his brother, Eddie; and his grandson, David Mullis, Jr;   He is survived by his daughter Alisa Mullis, his son James David Reames, Jr.; grandchildren:  Stephen Mullis, Christopher Mullis, Jennifer Reames, Jason Reames, Justin Reames; great grandchildren, Avree Reames, Eli Reames, Kyleigh Reames.

 

The family would like to thank Catawba Regional Hospice for the care given to Dave, Cheryl Marie Blair for her companionship during his illness and Christopher Mullis for the devoted care given to his grandfather.

 

A Graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, September 24, 2018 at Paw Creek Presbyterian Church, 7400 Mt. Holly Rd., Charlotte, NC with visitation beginning 1 hour prior to the service in the Christian Fellowship Center.

Interment will follow at Paw Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
