Obituary of Toni Clune

Ms. Toni Clune (née Iona Walters), of Charlotte, widow of the late Mr. Ray

Clune, died July 5, 2018.

Born August 29, 1935 in Kingstree, SC, Ms. Clune was a resident of Charlotte since 1977 and was a 31 year employee of First Union/Wachovia/Wells Fargo.

Survivors include son Ralph D. Polson, Jr., his wife Susan, and their children, Megan Polson of Spartanburg, SC and Ralph Polson III of Charleston, SC; daughter Dana Polson Morgan, her husband Ron, and daughter, Katie of Auburn, AL, daughter Toni Rae Stamey, and her children, Jared Stamey of Mooresville, NC and Jessica Stamey of Foxboro, MA, step-daughter Julie Miller, and her daughters Angela (Sam) Florence and Desiree Carrillo of Jonesboro, Ga., step-daughter Jeannie Benson, her husband Freddie, of Palatka, FL and their children Heath Benson of Mableton, GA, José Diaz of Thomaston, GA and Kory Benson of Melbourne, FL; step-son Jonathan Paul Clune, his wife Christy and their sons Jonathan and Joey of Stockbridge, Ga.

Ms. Clune is also survived by nieces Irma Lynn Whitaker and Angela Blair of Thomson, Ga. and nephew, Marty Walters of Aynor, SC.

Funeral service is at 2:00pm, July 8, 2018 in the Hankins & Whittington Funeral

Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Private entombment will be at Sharon Memorial Park Mausoleum.

The family requests flowers be omitted and memorials be made to Florence Crittenton Services Auxiliary, 1300 Blythe Blvd., Charlotte, NC, 28203, where Ms. Clune volunteered for years as a member of the Auxiliary.
