Obituary of Richard Dalton Staggs

Richard Dalton Staggs, age 92, of Charlotte, North Carolina, died December 6, 2017. Richie was born August 20, 1925 in McNeil, Arkansas and was the son of Emerson and Maggie Crumpler Staggs. He was a member of South Charlotte Baptist Church. Richie retired from General Electric after 30 years of service. Some years later, he did part-time work with Hertz Rental car for 15 years. He enjoyed doing character parts for film commercials and movies. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and two brothers. Survivors include one son, Walter Staggs (Dub) of Walkertown, N.C., two daughters Marjorie Pfister of New York and Patricia Gutierrez of California, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren, and one brother, Phinzo Staggs of Anniston, Alabama.
