Obituary of Stephanie M. Marshall

Stephanie, age 97, just three days short of her 98th birthday, died peacefully on Monday, December 18, 2017 at CMC-Pineville hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina, surrounded by her family. She was born in Greenfield, Massachusetts. She is preceded in death by her son, Kevin(1994), her husband, Frank Jr. (2011), her sisters, Edith, Helen, and Marion, and her brothers, Edmond, John, and Steven. She is survived by her son Frank III ( Nancy), her grandchildren Andrew Marshall, Sarah Gainey (Derrick), and Stephanie Phelps (Tucker), and her two great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Caroline Gainey, and by many nieces and nephews from the Bednarski and Brunton families. Stephanie lived a full and happy life. Her faith and her church were a daily part of her being. She loved a party, dressing up in costume, playing bridge, going to the movies on Sunday, eating chocolate, and visiting with family and friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her great-granddaughters, who fondly referred to her as Gigi. Family gatherings and holidays were always very special to her. A family funeral mass will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church at three o'clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 in the chapel. Stephanie valued family above all else. With that in mind, please honor her by staying with your family during this holiday season. Her ashes will be buried early next year in a family plot in Greenfield, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to your charity of choice in Stephanie's name.
