Obituary of Michael David Edwards

Michael David Edwards, 50, of Fort Mill, SC went to be with the Lord on March 16, 2018. Michael was born June 5, 1967 and was the beloved son of Alton Ben and Faye Edwards. Michael leaves behind a loving wife, Jennifer, daughter, Summerlyn Rose (12) and a son Sullivan McCrea (9) as well as his brother, Christopher Edwards and sister, Deborah Petty and many loving nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his brother Mark Edwards. Michael's greatest joys in life were spent at North Myrtle Beach playing with his kids in the pool, on the beach, and spending time with his parents. Michael lived a life full of integrity. He always put family first, was passionate about the environment and had a soft spot for children. On any given day, you could find Michael playing with his kids, watching his beloved Tarheels or Panthers or setting his fantasy football lineup. His friends and family remember him as being incredibly kind, smart, witty and funny. He was a person with a positive outlook and always quick to offer an encouraging word. We are all very proud of him and he will be sorely missed. Family was the most important thing to him. he was endlessly encouraging and supportive of friends and family alike. He was always encouraging those around him. He always had a positive outlook on life and didn't sweat the small stuff. He was passionate about the environment. Always put family first. A private gathering will be held in his honor on Saturday, March 24th. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his name to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, his charity of choice.
